Evaluasi Efektivitas Penggunaan Obat Generik pada Pasien Penyakit Kronis di Indonesia
Abstrak
This study examines the effectiveness of generic drugs in managing chronic diseases in Indonesia, focusing on the use of antihypertensive, antidiabetic, and lipid-lowering medications. The research aims to assess whether generic versions of these medications provide comparable therapeutic outcomes as their branded counterparts. The study utilizes a retrospective cohort design, analyzing patient data from several hospitals across Indonesia. The results show that generic drugs are equally effective in managing chronic diseases when compared to branded drugs, with no significant difference in clinical outcomes such as blood pressure control, blood sugar levels, and lipid profiles. The study concludes that the promotion of generic drugs can help reduce healthcare costs without compromising treatment efficacy, making it a viable option for managing chronic diseases in Indonesia.
