Inovasi Terbaru dalam Pengembangan Vaksin COVID-19 dan Implikasinya terhadap Kesehatan Masyarakat
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted an unprecedented global effort to develop effective vaccines to mitigate the spread of the virus. This study explores the latest innovations in COVID-19 vaccine development and examines their potential implications for public health. Focusing on mRNA vaccines, viral vector vaccines, and protein subunit vaccines, the study evaluates their efficacy, safety profiles, and public health impact. The results indicate that mRNA vaccines (such as Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna) have shown high efficacy in preventing symptomatic infection and severe disease, while viral vector vaccines (such as AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson) have demonstrated effectiveness in a broad population. Furthermore, booster doses have played a significant role in enhancing immunity. The study concludes that vaccine innovation has been crucial in controlling the pandemic and that continued vaccination campaigns are essential for achieving global herd immunity and preventing future outbreaks.
